Course: MTC #104-23 Let’s Continue the College Recommendation Conversation – the Timeline, the Content, and the Letter Format

Description: Requests by students for teacher recommendation letters are rapidly increasing each year. Almost every outside industry now requires a letter of recommendation when students apply. This is true for many part-time jobs, summer learning programs, camp counselors, research labs, internships, scholarships Honors programs and more. Learn to express the most critical recommendation information in written format in ways that meet recommendation requirements and emphasize the uniquely special attributes of our students.
Expected Outcome for Teachers: Reduce stress and provide framework.
Expected Outcome for Students: Well-developed, detailed letters of recommendation that highlight the best of our students for all who consider them.
Next Generation Learning Standards to be addressed: All
Dates: Wednesdays October 12th, 2022

Time: 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location: MHS Counseling Center
Credit: 5 hours equals ½ in-service credit
or
Stipend: 1 hr. = $45.
