Grant Writing Basics (K-12)
Instructor: Shannon Kelly
Description: Participants will learn the basics of educational grants: ways to find a grant, writing the grant proposal, and final reporting procedures. Participants will complete at least one grant application for their own classroom during the two sessions.
Expected Outcomes for Teachers: All teachers will complete the NEFCU grant application at a minimum. They will also learn how to search for grant opportunities.
Expected Outcomes for Students: Students will be treated to projects which extend their curricula, should grants be awarded.
Dates: Thursdays March 30th April 6th
Time: 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Location: MHS Computer Lab
Credit: 5 hrs. = ½ in-service credit
or
Stipend: 1 hr. = $45.
*NOTE: As there are a limited number of stipends ($45/hour) available, teachers will only
be allowed to apply for one stipend. Stipends will be on a first-come, first served basis, with
priority given to teachers at Masters Level 75.
IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT, EVIDENCE OF COMPLETED WORK MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR.
